Job Summary The Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Center of Excellence for Psychosocial and Systemic Research, in partnership with the MGH Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School (HMS), and the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, is recruiting two full‑time, one‑year postdoctoral fellows. The fellowship focuses on training clinical psychologists in evidence‑based psychosocial treatments and rehabilitation approaches for serious mental illness (SMI), with an emphasis on community and public mental health settings. Fellows will develop skills in navigating public and community psychiatric care systems while providing inpatient and outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities

Work as part of an interdisciplinary early intervention service for first‑episode psychosis (training opportunities for longer histories of SMI and clinical high‑risk individuals are available).

Provide inpatient care at a DMH‑facility serving individuals with SMI and a forensic population.

Provide outpatient care for a broad range of psychological disorders at one of the MGH Community Health Centers.

Qualifications

PhD in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or a related field.

At least three years of clinical experience, including experience gained during doctoral training.

Additional Desirable Experiences And Skills

Fluency in another language, preferably Spanish.

Clinical training and experience working with child and adolescent populations.

Clinical training and experience with evidence‑based treatments for trauma and/or trauma‑informed care.

Eligibility for clinical licensing upon completion of the fellowship.

Interest or experience in community‑based participatory engagement/research or lived‑experience engagement/research.
