Assistant Store Manager
High’s is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager who will support the management of store operations and execute organizational objectives and initiatives to achieve the store’s goals. The role focuses on associate satisfaction, brand standards, and profitability while supporting our "Fast, Fresh & Friendly" vision of exceptional customer service.
Location: Parkton, MD
Responsibilities
Learn all aspects of supervising the day‑to‑day task assignments of store associates.
Ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. Solicit and respond to customer feedback and information through various communication methods, creating an organized response plan.
Support the management of all matters related to associates and the store team – recruiting, hiring, training & development, coaching, associate engagement, and performance management.
Ensure execution of established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies, procedures, practices, and programs.
Assist in analyzing results and trends to leverage the store’s strengths and address areas of opportunity; ensure the execution of all plans.
Coordinate daily assignments and activities of associates to meet business needs and create a positive work environment.
Perform additional duties as the business needs require.
Qualifications
Leadership experience in a fast‑paced retail, food‑service, or fuel environment.
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline preferred.
Availability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Ability to learn and utilize the store’s computer applications.
Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for this position.
Working Conditions
Retail environment with occasional exposure to dust, extreme temperatures, and contact with petroleum and/or cleaning products.
Ability to spend most of the shift standing with frequent bending and lifting.
Commitment to maintain full store operations in all weather conditions.
