About the Team eBay’s Global Consumer Insights team is seeking an experienced Senior Consumer Insights Manager to champion consumer voices for our Motors business, covering automotive parts, accessories, and vehicles. In this key role you will lead global research, shape business strategies, and ensure consumer‑centricity drives decision‑making.
You will also lead the Global Consumer Insights Categories team, managing 2+ other researchers and fostering synergy across categories. This role reports to the Senior Director of GCI and focuses on customer experience improvements for U.S., U.K., and Germany markets.
What You Will Accomplish
Consumer Insights Strategy & Execution Translate business questions into research strategies, design primary and secondary research, and uncover consumer needs.
Storytelling & Communication Synthesize insights into compelling executive‑level narratives and present findings with clarity and impact.
Executive Partnership & Business Impact Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across Product, Marketing, Operations, and Strategy; define research roadmaps and drive action.
Team Leadership Lead a team of 2+ insights members and collaborate with other categories.
What You Will Bring
10+ years of proven consumer insights experience (not just analytics).
Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, or related field.
Deep expertise in designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research worldwide.
Strong strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to uncover opportunities and influence priorities.
People‑management experience.
Passion for the automotive category is a must.
Experience in online retail, tech, or marketplace ecosystems is highly desirable.
Ability to navigate matrixed organizations and build cross‑functional relationships.
Excellent communication and executive storytelling skills.

Compensation
