Medical Practice Patient Representative (Clerical Assistant) - NHMP Danbury Anesthesia - Danbury, CT. Full Time/40 hours per week, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday. Description
Provides advanced level clerical and administrative support and coordinates patient care activities for physician practice operations. This role supports front desk and back-end office functions and ensures smooth workflow. Responsibilities
Coordinates and schedules appointments and obtains authorizations for testing, referrals, surgical procedures, hospital procedures, hospital admissions. Reconciles money and financial reports for daily office deposit. Expected to be cross-trained and provide back-up for check in/out staff. Coordinates and maintains physician schedules including, but not limited to, meetings, teaching, inpatient rounding. Maintains and orders office supplies for efficiency of operation while ensuring budgetary controls. Participates in the reengineering of workflows and process improvements throughout the practice to meet the requirements of programs such as Patient Centered Medical Home and Meaningful Use. Completes audits and assists with tracking and reporting of information as needed. Acts as a super user for telephone and/or scheduling systems. Presents a professional appearance and image. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education Required: High School Diploma/GED 1 year customer related experience required Preferred: 1+ years of healthcare experience Desired and Related Experience
Practice Management System experience, Medical Office experience, Hospital Scheduling. Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $17.72 - $33.48 hourly (Pay based on years of relative experience). Sign on bonus: $500 (External Candidates Only). Equal Opportunity
