The AmeriCorps Guahan Academy Charter School are looking to recruit 60 Half-Time AmeriCorps members who are willing to provide education through homework assistance and mentoring services to students at risk of academic, social-emotional or behavior issues. Provide disaster services through outreach and presentations in preparations of disaster readiness and capacity building services to increase partnering organizations to help improve their volunteer recruitment and management marketing efforts and capabilities. AmeriCorps members will earn a monthly living allowance and an educational award upon successful completion of service to help repay qualified student loans or educational expenses.
Member Duties
Provide education through homework assistance and mentoring services to students at risk of academic, social-emotional or behavior issues.
Provide disaster preparedness and recovery workshops on campus or within the community in partnership with different government agencies and nonprofit organizations to promote disaster awareness and readiness to high-risk families.
Recruit 2 volunteers each month and provide capacity building services to other organizations and agencies to improve their volunteer recruitment and management marketing efforts and capabilities.
