Position Overview
Averest, Inc is seeking an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician based in or near Dallas or Houston, TX to troubleshoot, service, repair, and maintain industrial battery chargers and batteries used in commercial aviation ground support equipment (GSE). This role involves regular travel to major airports across the U.S. and Canada. You’ll work with high‑power electrical systems, and while previous experience in similar environments is required, comprehensive on‑the‑job training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain GSE charging systems in field environments
Perform scheduled maintenance and service on industrial lead‑acid and lithium batteries
Accurately document service work using NetSuite and Microsoft Office tools
Assist with bench work including the light assembly of custom cable assemblies
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of electrical circuitry and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Familiarity with high‑power equipment (batteries, chargers, or related systems)
Comfortable using hand tools, voltmeters, and other diagnostic equipment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
Physically fit to perform hands‑on field service work
A team player with excellent customer service and communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred
Completion of OSHA Electrical Safety, Lockout/Tagout, or Arc Flash Training is a plus
