Business Development Manager (Supreme Court and Appellate)
Location:
Washington, D.C. or New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office) Salary Range:
$150,000–$190,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
A leading international law firm is seeking a strategic and driven Business Development Manager to support its Litigation and Advisory practices, including a premier Supreme Court & Appellate team known for landmark victories and industry-defining strategies. This is a high-impact role where you’ll collaborate with top-tier attorneys and BD leaders to drive growth, shape thought leadership, and elevate the firm’s market presence across high-profile legal matters.
About the Role
Lead strategic BD initiatives, including client targeting, campaigns, and SCOTUS roadshows
Manage pitches, proposals, and marketing materials for high-stakes litigation
Support onboarding of lateral attorneys and coordination of BD training
Oversee directory submissions, awards, and profile-raising efforts
Maintain CRM data, matter experience, and marketing infrastructure
Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with firmwide goals
Qualifications
4-6+ years of BD/marketing experience in legal or professional services
Proven success supporting litigation or advisory practices
Strong writing, project management, and strategic thinking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and competitive intelligence tools
Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior team members
