Job Details
Salary: $47/hr – $53/hr
Location: 100% Onsite – Los Alamos, NM (TA-55, Install Phase)
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required
Work Schedule: 4/10s preferred; flexible with other shifts
Clearance: Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance
Mandatory Experience Requirement
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 5+ years of construction field experience
Must be willing to work 100% onsite (no hybrid or remote)
Impact Construction Engineers at this level are vital to ensuring that LANL’s technical installations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved project documentation. You will coordinate between design, engineering, and field teams to resolve issues in real‑time and keep critical national infrastructure on track.
Responsibilities And Duties
Perform field verifications and oversee construction activities for compliance
Support senior engineers with design review and field implementation
Track material quantities, verify installation work, and prepare reports
Support testing, commissioning, and project closeout efforts
Provide real‑time problem‑solving assistance to construction teams
Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials
Ability to interpret design documents and technical specifications
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and coordination skills
Excellent communication and field reporting skills
Desired Skills
Experience in DOE, DOD, or regulated facility projects
Familiarity with industry standards: ASME, NEC, IBC, NFPA
Experience with mechanical, electrical, or glovebox systems
Proficiency in MS Office and Teams
Education And Experience Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s in Engineering and 3–5 years of relevant experience
Desired: Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or advanced technical coursework
