Position Overview This position will work to advise and counsel law students on career planning, providing individualized training, guidance, and feedback. The counselor will help students develop job‑seeking skills, build professional networks, and support career opportunities. Additionally, the role includes administrative assistance in managing programs of the Career Development Office and posting job listings.
Required Experience
Three years of relevant counseling experience (academic advising, career counseling, therapeutic or social work counseling, or attorney-client counseling). A Juris Doctor may substitute two of the three years.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Other
Ability to travel.
Ability to work non-standard work hours.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Ability to exercise discretion and sound ethical judgment, particularly with confidential matters.
Knowledge of issues related to higher education administration.
Knowledge of career development issues, especially for attorneys and aspiring attorneys.
Knowledge of legal employment trends and career development.
