Executive Recruiting and Career Placement Electrical Engineer / Designer
An established
Ohio-based mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm , with offices in North Royalton and Columbus and a history dating back to 1993, is seeking a talented and experienced
full-time Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer . This position is key to supporting our continued growth and expansion.
The role will initially be titled "Electrical Engineer/Designer" with strong potential for career progression into a
"Project Manager"
or
"Project Engineer"
over time.
Key Responsibilities As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for:
Executing
electrical design
for a diverse range of project types, including
commercial, office, retail, healthcare , and others.
Applying design expertise in areas like
power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems , and equipment selection and specification.
Preparing
schematics
for various electrical systems.
Collaborating
with all disciplines (mechanical, structural, civil, etc.) to ensure a completed, fully coordinated design and reviewing the work of other team members.
Conducting
on-site investigations
to accurately confirm existing conditions.
Developing and maintaining familiarity with current
electrical codes and standards .
Building professional relationships with same-level personnel from other disciplines and manufacturing sales representatives.
Preparing and becoming familiar with both general and
electrical specifications .
Desired Skills & Abilities We are looking for a candidate with at least
3 years of relevant experience
who possesses the following:
Strong
interpersonal skills
to effectively collaborate in a team environment.
Familiarity with system-specific materials, components, and electrical systems.
Basic understanding of high-level mathematics as it applies to electrical design work.
Excellent
oral and written communication skills .
Analytical ability
to effectively solve complex problems.
Working proficiency/knowledge of
AutoCAD .
Working proficiency/knowledge of
REVIT is desired, but not required .
