Overview West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medical Oncology seek a Sarcoma & Cutaneous Malignancies Hematologist/Oncologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, West Virginia. Depending on operational needs, a candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Travel would be anticipated to fulfill duties at these sites.

Duties

Practice in Hematology/Oncology, primarily treating sarcomas and cutaneous malignancies.

Teach medical students, residents, and fellows and participate in related educational activities.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligibility for state medical license.

Completed Internal Medicine residency program and a Hematology/Oncology fellowship program.

Board certified or eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Information on the department/practice The Department of Medical Oncology at the West Virginia University Cancer Institute provides comprehensive cancer care across the state through an integrated network of academic and regional sites. The sarcoma and cutaneous oncology program offers specialized, team-based care with access to clinical trials, surgical and radiation oncology expertise, and state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment resources. Faculty have support from a growing cancer institute with commitment to expanding research, clinical programs, and access to care throughout West Virginia.
