Manager, Immigration Programs & Compliance GEICO is building the future of our People function— and compliance is at the center of it. We’re looking for a Manager, Immigration Programs & Compliance to lead our immigration team while also serving as a thought partner to the HR Compliance function.

Base pay range $82,000.00/yr - $157,850.00/yr

What You’ll Do Immigration Leadership

Lead and manage GEICO’s immigration team, overseeing sponsorship cases (H-1B, PERM, STEM OPT, TN, etc.).

Coach, mentor, and develop team members while ensuring day‑to‑day excellence in immigration operations.

Partner with outside counsel, Legal, HRBPs, and Talent Acquisition to deliver timely, compliant immigration support.

Contribute to the continued build‑out of immigration policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.

Ensure documentation and reporting are accurate, audit‑ready, and visible to leadership.

Compliance Partnership

Serve as a thought partner to the HR Compliance team on policy updates, handbook revisions, and regulatory reporting.

Support audit remediation efforts by contributing to process documentation, control mapping, and compliance tracking.

Collaborate with Legal, Internal Controls, the HRIS Team, and other HR functions to strengthen compliance integration across operations.

Analytics & Reporting

Partner with the HRIS Team to design and build in‑house dashboards and reporting capabilities for immigration and HR compliance.

Translate business needs into reporting requirements, ensuring leadership has visibility into key metrics, trends, and risks.

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of U.S. immigration experience (H-1B, PERM, STEM OPT, TN), including people leadership.

Familiarity with HR compliance programs such as policy development, audit readiness, and regulatory reporting.

Strong analytical skills and experience working with HRIS teams to build dashboards, reports, or metrics.

Proven ability to coach and develop team members in a fast‑paced environment.

Excellent project management and organizational skills; detail‑oriented with a compliance mindset.

Collaborative communicator with credibility across senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.

Certification Requirements

Required: Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, PHR, SHRM‑CP/SCP).

Preferred: Immigration certification/credential (e.g., SHRM U.S. Employment Immigration Specialty Credential, AILA membership, Global Mobility Specialist, or equivalent).

Key Competencies

Immigration law expertise, compliance and risk management acumen, program and process management, people leadership and team development, stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration, coaching, influencing, and advising, policy and SOP development, audit and regulatory readiness, data analysis and reporting, HRIS and technology proficiency, case management oversight.

Annual Salary $82,000.00 - $157,850.00
