$239,647 – $264,837 per year (DOE)
+ relocation, sign‑on bonus, incentives and loan repayment options.
The Family Practice Physician provides comprehensive family medicine services and obstetrics call approximately one week in every five weeks. Clinical care is consistent with SEARHC policy and national standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary care to a dedicated panel of patients, including diagnosis, treatment, minor procedures, coordination of care, referrals, prevention, and health maintenance.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services per SEARHC policy.
Deliver optimal patient experience through strong listening and communication skills that build long‑term relationships.
Actively participate in SEARHC quality initiatives, patient care programs, provider and clinic meetings, and medical staff functions.
Required Qualifications
State of Alaska Medical License (MD or DO).
Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine; if only eligible, must be certified within 3 years of starting date.
Active unrestricted DEA registration.
Active SEARHC medical staff privileges.
BLS, ACLS, ALSO, and PALS certification within one year of start date.
Skill Set
Strong communication with staff and patients; respectful, collaborative, supportive.
Clinical leadership—promote teamwork, provide guidance to mid‑level providers, resolve conflicts.
Efficient use of electronic medical record and other clinical technology.
Clear written and oral communication, analytical thinking, problem solving, implementation of clinical program strategies.
