This Position reports to: Sales Manager
Your role and responsibilities
The Strategic Contractor Account Manager - North develops, implements, and manages the strategy and relationship with assigned large contractor accounts. Assigned customers primarily have locations in the North Region. The position is part of the ABB Industry, Buildings and Channel (IBC) team, with significant cross-functional responsibilities. As the point person for the ABB relationship within those organizations, the strategic account manager is responsible for growing share of wallet, profitability, and elevating customer satisfaction. Coordinates executive relationships within the strategic accounts, sets goals, tracks pipeline, organizes sales activities, monitors current projects, and manages the resolution of the strategic customer challenges. While this is a remote position, successful candidates must be located in the North Territory. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings, Distribution Solutions, and Smart Power Divisions in the United States. You will be mainly accountable for: Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and Statement of Work growth actions. Understanding the key business drivers, including significant and emerging business risks (e.g., sustainability/digital/cybersecurity) of the relevant global customer's business and business environment, translating them into the corresponding impacts and opportunities for ABB. Participating in the development of sales strategies for the account through providing current business and long-term plans for the customer. Defining sales targets, giving input on market price developments monitoring competitors' activity with the account and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are implemented. Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Marketing related degree is a plus. Strong understanding of the Electrification products and experience with quoting projects for contractors 15 years of experience within the electrical industry. Experience with working with contractors and distributors in the Northeast, Midwest and Mid-Atlantic area is a requirement. Experience in conducting market analysis and business development plans with solid structured approach. Technical background with experience with low/medium voltage electrical equipment is preferred Willingness to travel as needed. Preferred base location would be in Northeast, Midwest or Mid-Atlantic.
