We are seeking a
Patient Registrar – Surgical
to join a busy urology office in the Flushing, NY area. The ideal candidate will be
Korean-speaking , detail-oriented, and experienced in providing administrative and registration support in a fast-paced medical environment. This role ensures smooth front-office operations and accurate patient information management.
Key Responsibilities Register and check in/out patients accurately and efficiently. Verify and update patient demographic, insurance, and billing details. Obtain
prior authorizations
for imaging, medications, and procedures. Run
insurance eligibility
checks and confirm active coverage. Schedule appointments and coordinate with clinical and administrative teams. Utilize medical office software, including
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook . Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with
HIPAA
standards. Support daily operations through strong communication and organizational skills.
Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED Fluent in Korean (required) Experience in a medical office or patient care setting Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills Preferred: College degree
or equivalent relevant experience EHR (Electronic Health Record)
experience Familiarity with medical practice systems and technology Experience obtaining prior authorizations and verifying insurance eligibility
