Principal Recruiter – In-house Legal Recruitment

We’re seeking a confident, driven recruitment professional to join our Taylor Root team. You’ll specialize in placing top legal talent into in‑house roles across industries—from Fortune 500 companies to high‑growth startups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source and engage high‑caliber legal professionals for in‑house roles via LinkedIn, referrals, events, and other channels
  • Conduct strategic interviews and assessments to ensure strong candidate‑client alignment
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of in‑house legal talent, keeping candidates informed and engaged
  • Act as a trusted advisor to candidates, helping them navigate career transitions and long‑term goals
  • Drive business development by identifying hiring needs across corporate legal departments
  • Partner closely with clients to deliver tailored recruitment strategies and market insights
  • Lead client meetings, pitch services, and negotiate contracts with confidence
  • Maintain accurate records in our CRM and report regularly on performance metrics

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Legal or Marketing recruitment within a staffing agency (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field (required)
  • Proven success in business development and client relationship management
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, results‑oriented mindset with a passion for recruitment and sales
