Principal Recruiter – In-house Legal Recruitment
We’re seeking a confident, driven recruitment professional to join our Taylor Root team. You’ll specialize in placing top legal talent into in‑house roles across industries—from Fortune 500 companies to high‑growth startups.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source and engage high‑caliber legal professionals for in‑house roles via LinkedIn, referrals, events, and other channels
- Conduct strategic interviews and assessments to ensure strong candidate‑client alignment
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of in‑house legal talent, keeping candidates informed and engaged
- Act as a trusted advisor to candidates, helping them navigate career transitions and long‑term goals
- Drive business development by identifying hiring needs across corporate legal departments
- Partner closely with clients to deliver tailored recruitment strategies and market insights
- Lead client meetings, pitch services, and negotiate contracts with confidence
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM and report regularly on performance metrics
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Legal or Marketing recruitment within a staffing agency (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field (required)
- Proven success in business development and client relationship management
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive, results‑oriented mindset with a passion for recruitment and sales
