Job Summary
PHOENIX is seeking a high‑functioning candidate with medical office experience who is energetic and well‑organized to work in our Swansea office. You must have excellent customer‑service skills and be proficient at multitasking.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively (in person and by phone) and courteously with patients, physicians and their office staff, insurance company representatives, peers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Schedule patients for services within established guidelines.
- Greets and registers patients in a timely, professional and customer‑focused manner.
- Explain Phoenix’s policies and procedures and billing processes to patients. Direct patients appropriately as needed.
- Track and obtain ongoing insurance verification/authorization information from payers and communicate this data to patient, admission staff and treatment team.
- Collect patient co‑payment, co‑insurance, and deductibles as well as related fees for supplies and services.
- Generate and maintain medical records.
- Respond to all requests for information according to established procedures.
- Assume responsibility for and maintain cash drawer system according to procedure.
- Maintain office and facility inventory and order supplies as needed following established procedures.
- Attend and participate in clinic/management meetings and in‑service education programs as appropriate.
- Participate in training and cross‑training of all staff. Ensure competency of training to maintain efficient clinic operation.
- Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years medical front‑office experience is required along with insurance verification and prior authorization experience. High school diploma required. Experience in medical insurance filing and medical records preferred.
