Creighton Preparatory School is seeking a Director of Major Gifts to join its Advancement Team as a senior leader driving the school’s philanthropic growth. The Director will focus on building deep, strategic relationships with alumni, parents, and friends to advance scholarships, capital priorities, endowment, and other strategic initiatives. This position reports to the Vice President of Advancement and will manage a portfolio of high-capacity prospects and contribute to comprehensive campaign planning and execution. Roles and Responsibilities

Major and Principal Gifts: Manage a portfolio of 100–125 major and principal gift prospects with the capacity to give at the $50,000+ level. Design and implement customized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to secure six- and seven-figure commitments. Partner with the Vice President of Advancement on the design, implementation, and successful execution of comprehensive fundraising campaigns. Collaborate across the advancement team to align annual, major, and planned giving efforts with campaign priorities. Donor Engagement: Conduct 10–12 overnight trips annually for in-person prospect meetings and alumni/donor events. Engage, inspire, and steward high-level donors through meaningful interactions, events, and school experiences. Represent Creighton Prep at major school-wide events such as Reunion Weekend, Sports Night, BASH, and other community gatherings. Team Collaboration and Leadership: Serve as a senior thought partner within the Advancement team, contributing to strategy, goal setting, and best practices. Provide guidance and mentoring to gift officers and colleagues to enhance overall fundraising capacity. Collaborate with Prospect Research and Donor Relations staff to ensure effective pipeline development and stewardship. Other: Maintain accurate and timely prospect records in the CRM system. Stay current with best practices in philanthropy, campaign management, and donor engagement. Perform other duties as assigned to support Advancement goals. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE certification preferred. 7–10+ years of successful fundraising experience with a strong record of cultivating, soliciting, and closing major and principal gifts ($50,000+). Demonstrated success in comprehensive campaigns, including planning, execution, and goal achievement. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire trust and build strong relationships with diverse constituencies. Strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of Jesuit, Catholic education and alignment with the mission of Creighton Prep strongly preferred. Familiarity with fundraising databases (e.g., Raiser’s Edge) and CRM systems. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed, and to travel nationally up to 12 times per year. Compensation and Benefits
