Job Description Over the last several years, the University of Florida Levin College of Law has expanded our national profile through a number of strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Assistant Dean of Students, the incumbent will design, develop, and oversee student organization and career services events and programs for 1L, 2L, 3L, and LL.M. classes. The program coordinator will advise and support student groups and special student populations as they organize, plan, and execute events. They will communicate with student leaders and groups to ensure compliance with university and departmental policies.
Responsibilities
Student Event Support and Execution: Assist with implementation of student organization, life, and career development workshops, panel discussions, and programs; coordinate program content, create materials and signage, invite students, manage calendars, track responses, print name tags, and coordinate participants.
Recruiting Event Support: Oversee and coordinate recruiting events for all classes, including firm receptions; work with Senior Assistant Dean of Career Services and Director of Career and Professional Development to implement large‑scale events.
Student Events Liaison: Coordinate with student group leaders to plan events, disseminate information, arrange conference calls, resolve scheduling conflicts, and identify alumni and experts for panels and speakers.
Assist the Senior Assistant Dean of Students in creating, organizing, and updating employment and personal information for all students served by the Office of Career Services.
Attend student group events, employer events, and industry events as needed.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in education or a field directly related to the program coordinator’s area of responsibility; or a bachelor’s degree in such a field and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination.
Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation.
Strong emotional intelligence and listening skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills; experience leading group programs.
Ability to refine electronic databases for student progress monitoring.
Track record of creative problem‑solving and teamwork.
Salary $50,000–$57,500
