Yes, 10% of the Time . The position reports to the GSC Sector Logistics Director for the Aeronautics Systems Sector and is responsible for Domestic and International (Import/Export) operations in support of all programs and sites across the sector, including oversight of planning, scheduling and routing of inbound and outbound shipments. The role includes leading an organization that oversees scheduling with carriers, reconciling freight bills, preparing and negotiating claims, and selecting or recommending carriers to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods and materials. The candidate conducts research on transportation methods, rates, and routes, develops programs to audit and monitor carrier rates and charges, and evaluates past performance and transportation costs to sustain affordability, operational efficiency, and KPI performance. The role spans multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain organization. Roles And Responsibilities Accountable for domestic and international traffic operations across the sector, addressing program execution issues related to GM&L Traffic operations; develop and execute mitigation plans for risks. Lead managers and individual contributors supporting all sites, programs, and product line goals through accurate tracking, reporting, and problem-resolution for domestic and international traffic. Support Enterprise/Corporate GSC Transportation and Logistics CoP/CoE initiatives, driving efficiency and cost reductions. Develop and drive strategy for Logistics Traffic operations aligned with organizational goals to optimize processes, growth, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with Goods Movement, International Trade Compliance (ITC), Logistics Service Providers (LSP), and other key functions to ensure alignment and resource deployment. Serve as a key liaison with internal customers and executive leadership; communicate strategic plans and performance effectively. Lead and collaborate with internal and external customers and agencies to ensure regulatory compliance supporting Aeronautics Sector objectives. Cultivate a high-performing, engaged culture, modeling respect, ownership and accountability, and promoting straight talk at all levels. Provide mentorship and succession planning to ensure leadership readiness; align with Northrop Grumman Leadership Values and Behaviors. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with at least 7 years in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Project Management, Business Management, operations OR Master’s Degree with at least 5 years OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least 10 years of experience. Must have 4 years of experience leading a team, process, and/or projects. Experience in Supply Chain with Traffic, Shipping, or Warehousing. Active DoD Secret level clearance is required to apply and to start the role, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access as determined by the Company. Preferred Qualifications Experience with International Trade Compliance. Licensed Customer Broker. Ability to prepare and present executive-level presentations. Experience leading teams in a virtual or geographically dispersed environment. Experience as a problem-solver and change-agent with mix of technical and business expertise for developing supply chain strategies. Compensation and Benefits Primary Level Salary Range:
$145,500.00 - $210,700.00 . The salary range represents a general guideline; base salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, and candidate qualifications. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply. Long Term Incentives may be available for VP or Director positions.
