Overview SAS Analyst Space and Assortment

US-NC-Matthews. Requisition ID 2025-437259. This mid-level role focuses on space and assortment planning with data-driven insights, project management, and collaboration with clients and teams. The analyst will leverage industry tools to optimize space planning, support training initiatives, and serve as a reliable resource for senior leaders. The company is a leading sales and marketing agency serving a variety of trade channels.

Responsibilities

Partners with retailers to develop space and floor planning strategies, providing data-driven insights on fixture placement and category performance.

Manages multiple project timelines in assigned spaces, ensuring each process is thoroughly followed.

Leverages data analysis, market trends, and external resources to optimize space utilization and support strategic merchandising decisions.

Provides support for associates on corporate merchandising principles and practices and maintains growth-oriented plans aligned with customer goals.

Travel and driving are not essential duties or functions of this job.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level (Required): Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent job-related experience.

Experience in writing planograms using planogram software such as JDA, Blue Yonder, or Spaceman.

2-4 years of experience with planograms or floorplans; experience with analysis in a professional setting; merchandising experience a plus.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: self-directed work ethic, strong prioritization, communication skills, organization, problem-solving, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Environmental & Physical Requirements: office/sedentary work; ability to sit for extended periods; ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
