Overview
This position serves as Workforce Program Manager for the JHHS Office of Strategic Workforce Development. The Program Manager works collaboratively with Hopkins entities (JHU & JHHS), Baltimore City Public Schools, and additional school systems to include elementary, middle & high schools, and other non-profit organizations in developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating programs that actively contribute to the success of JHHS workforce development strategy for youth. Manages special and ongoing projects.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate workforce development programs in partnership with Johns Hopkins entities, public schools, and community organizations.
Develop, implement, manage, and evaluate programs that support the JHHS workforce development strategy for youth.
Manage special and ongoing projects to advance workforce initiatives.
Education Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field (Education, Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology, etc.), Management, Youth/Adolescent Development, or related field required.
Work Experience Minimum of 7+ years related experience in youth program administration, coordination, and management, with a focus on high school students, at-risk, and/or academically gifted youth. Minimum of 3 years related experience in health care administration or a not-for-profit organization, using office management, program management, and public relations.
Knowledge
Experience using a standard personal computer, including word processing, databases, and managing program resources.
Knowledge of assessment administration, adult learning, and motivational theory, bridging adult work-life issues.
Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programs.
Knowledge of project management, financial analysis, and business/strategic planning is required.
Knowledge of Managing Successful Programs Methodology, Quality Management, Planning and Administrative theory, and Customer Service Theory is preferred.
Knowledge and experience related to project management and implementation of strategic initiatives.
Salary Range $37.04/hour - $61.16/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
