Forensic Psychologists are encouraged to consider an available part-time position with Liberty Healthcare.
Liberty Healthcare operates a specialized forensic mental health program within the Robert Presley Detention Center – a Riverside County jail.
This program provides high quality assessment and treatment services to adults who are justice involved, experiencing mental illness, and deemed incompetent to stand trial.
Our mission is to provide comprehensive competency restoration services in a timely manner to individuals found incompetent to stand trial pursuant to California Penal Code 1370.
Responsibilities
Conducting mental status examinations and formulating diagnoses
Evaluating patients for competency to stand trial
Writing comprehensive reports
Occasionally providing court testimony
Collaborating with psychiatrists, nurses, mental health clinicians and ancillary professionals
Actively participating in staff meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning
Performing risk assessments and crisis management assistance
This is a hybrid position which will allow you to primarily work remotely from your home office and require you to evaluate patients in-person onsite at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside, CA.
Benefits & Compensation
Flexible schedule limited to 20 hours per week
Starting pay from $55.00 to $67.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)

Qualifications You are a good fit for this position if you are licensed professionally in California as a Psychologist and have training and / or experience evaluating and treating forensic patients.
