UCSF Department of Pathology seeks a Breast Pathology Faculty Member. Start Date: ASAP. Pay Rate: $250,000.00 - $360,000.00. The Department of Pathology at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) seeks an outstanding Breast Pathology specialist to join its team. The successful candidate will enjoy faculty status with protected off-service time for research/academic interests within a top-tier cancer center. This position provides clinical excellence, research leadership, and resources of a leading academic medical center. Responsibilities
Join a strong academic Pathology Department and contribute to a thriving, world-class program in San Francisco. Provide breast pathology expertise within clinical services, with the option to focus 100% clinical effort on breast pathology or participate in multiple surgical pathology services based on interests. Participate in national translational initiatives such as the I-SPY TRIALS and collaborate with the Athena Breast Health Network, integrating clinical care and research. Engage with The WISDOM Study and work with a multidisciplinary team of breast surgeons, imagers, oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to advance breast cancer screening and treatment. Contribute to educational programs including fellowships in breast surgical pathology, general surgical pathology, cytopathology, dermatopathology, and other subspecialties. Support research and scholarly activities with protected time, and participate in the academic appointment as Health Science Clinical Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor based on experience. Qualifications
BE/BC in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology with fellowship training or equivalent experience in Breast Pathology. UCSF faculty appointment with protected off-service time for research/academic interests; rank determined by experience (Health Sciences Clinical Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). Strong communication and collaborative skills; ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Benefits and Compensation
Competitive compensation package including two incentive plans and comprehensive benefits, with retirement offerings (pension, 403B, 457B) and relocation package of $150,000. The total negotiated salary and appointment rank will include base salary plus negotiated components, commensurate with experience and training. Base salary range listed as $92,100 - $360,000.
