Senior Process Design Engineer

What You’ll Do
Set and enforce Tessenderlo Kerley engineering standards, procedures and design practices (schedules, tools and policies).
Drive new project/chemistry development with R&D; plan and run lab work, pilots and simulations/models.
Lead scope development and estimates; execute/manage plant projects from FEP/FEL/FEED to handoff.
Create, review, and redline P&IDs, spec sheets and equipment drawings, and develop M&E balances and PFDs.
Participate in HAZOPs and MOC/What‑If reviews, and ensure documentation aligns with HSE compliance.
Troubleshoot chemistry/quality issues, process upsets and equipment failures, and recommend optimization and debottlenecking projects.
Mentor and train engineers; provide DCS instrumentation/hardware guidance and startup leadership.
Build internal tools and monthly KPI reporting; support plant budgeting for CIP/major maintenance.
Qualifications
BS in Chemical Engineering.
10+ years in chemical manufacturing with at least 4 years focused in sulfur chemistry.
A proven record of implementing non‑standard process solutions and reverse‑engineering equipment.
Strong independence and prioritization, and excellent communication with cross‑functional partners.
A safety‑first mindset, and experience leading HAZOP/MOC and startup best practices.
Team leadership experience and the ability to influence across Operations, HSE and Project Services.
