Division Overview Crown’s Closures, Aerosol & Promotional Packaging (CAPP) Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for the largest consumer packaging companies in North America. Our distinguished list of clients including SC Johnson, Abbott Laboratories and Unilever. We manufacture total packaging solutions including: Closures : We manufacture a variety of decorative food and metal vacuum sealed closures, metal and composite closures, capping systems for glass and plastic container manufacturers. Aerosol Packaging : We manufacture cans and ends for manufacturers of personal care, food, household and industrial products. We offer our customers a broad range of products including multiple sizes, color schemes and shaped packaging. Promotional and Specialty Packaging : We manufacture a wide array of decorative containers with numerous lid and closure variations. Here is your chance to join the CAPP Division. Responsibilities

Manage Engineering Support to Plant and provide technical assistance to support Continuous Improvement and Lean Initiatives. Actively lead Continuous Improvements projects to improve efficiency and reduce spoilage Partner with Management to source best overall load of spare parts and maintain tooling inventory to budget levels. Trouble Shoot Equipment/tooling issues day to day. Recommend and design improvement to current tooling design/materials. Manage and maintain plant drawing records and technical information. This would include tinplate layouts, tooling drawings, IE specification, etc. Develop and maintain tinplate layouts for proposals, here and Mill Park. Develop and maintain IE specifications along with customer IE identifications list Control point for plant closure specification issue/recall. Process engineering portion of CNI and confirm/verify details provided. Provide comparator graphs and dimensional points for CNC programming to our shop. Provide prints, manuals, etc. as requested by our shop and others Respond to equipment issues. Record revisions to drawings Minor design changes Ensure drawings, etc. are properly filed and secured Oversee management on the engineering side of plant projects to insure they are done in a timely, least costly fashion. Include safety considerations wherever possible. The management would include interfacing with outside contractors, plant personnel, project management. Create necessary drawings (rough line layout, etc.) to determine feasibility of a project. Assist in management of plant operations to ensure continued success. That would include involvement with budget, KPI’s, cost reductions, spending control, etc. Handling PAR’s (Project Appropriations Request) work with accounting Submit them Keep a record Identify over/under speeding Close when completed Handle Cost Reduction projects like plate weight reduction, plate layout combination, etc. Asset control (Work with Accounting) Yearly Inventory Submit disposal requests Support all Crown Policies, World Class Performance initiatives, safety initiatives, etc. Participate in SAFE Card Program Investigate solutions to ergonomic issues like a robot to feed strips in stamping presses, etc. Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess: BS Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering 2- 5 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing setting ideally in a high speed metal forming operation including supervisory responsibilities. Strong working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC’s Full command of MS Office (Word, Access, Excel & Power Point) and AUTOCAD. Strong organization and project management skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines Experience working with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing teams. Mechanical knowledge that can be conveyed using good written and verbal communication skills Time management and multi-project management skills. Seniority level
