Senior Field Service Representative – Houston, TX Job Description

AT Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Senior Field Service Representative. This role can be located in Houston, TX or Beaumont, TX. Salary range: $82,500 – $121,000 per year. The position is On‑Site at the specified location. This opportunity is open to veterans, transitioning military, National Guard, Reserve members, military spouses, wounded warriors, and their caregivers.

What You’ll Do

Support customers across the power system lifecycle: startup, commissioning support, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergencies.

Manage small projects independently and lead FSR teams on larger projects.

Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties.

Provide recommendations for improved electrical systems.

Cultivate strong relationships with customers, team members, and partners.

Mentor less experienced technicians.

Utilize digital tools for remote work, including laptops, iPads, IR cameras, Google Glasses, MS Teams, and more.

Position Success Criteria

Maintain compliance with Eaton’s safety program and policy, including the EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program.

Submit to periodic customer‑required background and drug screenings.

Work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and travel.

Drive Eaton vehicles and obtain DOT non‑CDL qualification if required.

Understand 3‑phase power systems and low, medium, high voltage distribution equipment.

Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, squatting, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing.

Obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card.

Proficient with hand and power tools for equipment assembly.

Strong problem‑solving and logical thinking skills.

Work well under time constraints and in stressful situations.

Explain technical problems and solutions clearly.

Collaborate effectively with the team to meet project deadlines.

Minimum Education Required

High School/GED.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or higher (minimum 3 years of experience testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems) or equivalently 7 or more years of experience.

Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems.

Eligible to work in the U.S. with no corporate sponsorship needed.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

No relocation offered; candidates within a 50‑mile radius considered. Active‑Duty military service members exempt from geographic limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

Electrical or General Contractor's license.

Professional Engineering license.

Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, analysis, and protective relays.

NICET/NETA certification.

Salary Range

$75,000 – $100,000.
