This role is a Director of Operational Excellence at Dover Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer with over $8 billion in revenue. You will promote and implement Dover’s Operational Excellence Model across operating companies, drive transformation using digital platforms, and enable continuous improvement.
Pay & Bonus Base pay range: $160,000 - $210,000 per year. Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics.
Remote Work Remote position requiring 50–75 % domestic travel and occasional international travel.
Success Measures Operational and financial performance metrics, site operational excellence model certifications, and project completion milestones.
What You’ll Do
Work with all levels of the organization globally, facilitating training, workshops, coaching, and communication.
Facilitate cross‑functional teams through Value Stream Designs and ensure implementation and sustainment.
Collaborate with IT/Digital product leads to select and deploy digital platforms related to manufacturing and operations.
Deploy the Dover Operational Excellence Model and support sites in implementing improvement action plans.
Navigate diverse manufacturing environments, global geographies and cultures.
Engage associates across business functions to identify and close gaps to operational excellence standards.
Analyze business and process performance data to identify key metrics and KPIs.
What You’ll Bring
10‑15 years progressive leadership experience in Plant Management or Operational Excellence in global, multi‑site environments.
A people‑first passion for coaching and driving change.
Expertise in ERP, MRP, MES and related systems.
Advanced problem‑solving skills using A3, 5‑why, countermeasures, and sustaining measures.
Exceptional training, assessment, coaching and influencing skills.
Demonstrated results in safety, delivery, quality, inventory, and cost KPIs.
Training and certification in OpEx tools and methodologies.
Record of change management across multi‑site operations.
Proficiency in interpreting business and financial reports.
Experience with the “Design for Operational Excellence” approach (desired).
Strong people leadership and technical affinity.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent; MBA desired.
