Job Summary This is a "Project" position designed to support project work for a limited duration. While the exact duration of the project is yet to be determined, we currently anticipate a period of 3–5 years based on business needs at the present time, following which you will separate from the Company. This period may be shortened based on business needs in the future, at which point you will separate from the Company. This employment is of a limited duration and you will not be entitled to separation benefits under any PSEG plan at the time you separate from the Company. Director level approval and waiver are required for you to bid on other PSEG opportunities within the first 3 years of assignment. From year 4 onward, director approval and waiver will not be required. If your assignment ends earlier than the anticipated timeframe, you will be allowed to bid on other PSEG opportunities without director level approval from the time you are notified of the ending through the end date of the assignment.

This position is responsible for providing timely, accurate and relevant financial and operating information to Services Corporation Leadership, Department Leaders, and clients to enable strategic decision-making. It ensures integrity, audience-appropriate and complete financial information, provides interpretation and insight of financial performance metrics and their impact on the Service Corporation’s Departments and client year-end financial performance, and identifies, develops, and implements continuous process improvement opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

Support SC Finance through the creation of profit center validation reports, invoices, and ad hoc analysis; offer guidance and suggestions in presenting business information and associated metrics. Complete analysis of the Service Company's monthly billings, expense, and residual variances.

Develop and maintain analytical and processing tools, spreadsheets, upload programs and databases to ensure financial data integrity, facilitate cost planning, and enhance overall use of SAP.

Support end-to-end annual planning process; provide support to departments in the monthly billing and master data process; provide technical support and guidance in the completion of department planning in PCM.

Support departments in ongoing use of the CPI/BW system.

Assist preparing supporting documentation and official responses to interrogatories in support of Affiliate Standards audit, Rate Cases, and other audit requests.

Job Specific Qualifications

Bachelor's in finance, accounting, or engineering or related field.

Demonstrated financial analysis and problem-solving skills.

Ability to apply managerial accounting concepts and explain information to associates with financial and non-financial backgrounds.

Proficient in financial systems and PC applications (MS Office Suite, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Desire to be challenged, expand professional knowledge and take on more responsibility over time.

Ability to deliver timely and accurately, clear concise and appropriate to audience information.

Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required

Solid written and verbal communication skills with all levels of management

Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Ability to develop creative solutions.

Two years financial analysis experience

Knowledge in use and application of SAP planning tools, models, techniques and processes
