Overview
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support the USARPAC in overseeing cybersecurity operations across the USARPAC Area of Responsibility (AOR). This role includes managing risk across 11 separate networks, supporting Army-to-Army engagements throughout the Pacific, and building/managing Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) capabilities for exercises and real-world events.

Key Responsibilities Security Operations Oversight
Validate compliant security architecture using current policies, procedures, and standards
Evaluate policies for regulatory compliance
Cross-reference and validate physical, personnel, facility, and information systems controls per Army Regulations and DoD directives
Manage information security risks and report findings to government leadership
Maintain current Authorities to Operate (ATO) in compliance with FISMA, RMF, and NIST guidance
Support cybersecurity requirements during Army and Joint exercises
Represent USARPAC and Commanding General in cybersecurity briefings and meetings
Technical Support & Documentation
Attend technical meetings and provide recommendations
Assist in drafting and reviewing cybersecurity policy, SOPs, and directives
Ensure Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) are maintained via monthly POA&M reviews
Review POA&Ms for currency and mitigation strategies
Provide cybersecurity recommendations for proposed changes, initiatives, and projects
Review system connection and policy exception requests; assess risk and draft Memorandums for Record for Authorizing Official (AO)
Review change requests for completeness, accuracy, and residual risk prior to AO approval
Assessment & Authorization (A&A) Support
Ensure external connections comply with DoD, Army, and USARPAC policy for Authority to Connect (ATC)
Use eMASS to validate RMF 2.0 compliance for networks, systems, and programs
Validate circuits, VPNs, and commercial connections via DISA Systems Network Approval Process
CORA & OIP Inspection Support
Support CORA assessment teams during inspections
Ensure NECs and RCCs comply with CORA requirements
Participate in Site Assist Visits and report findings
Assist with post-CORA remediation planning and execution
Support Organizational Inspection Program (OIP) before, during, and after inspections
Evaluate personnel, document findings, and train teams to prevent recurrence
Exercise Support
Review and recommend network connections for AO approval
Assist exercise participants in preparing documentation for AO review
Participate in pre-exercise planning meetings
Required Qualifications
Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification
7+ years of cybersecurity experience, preferably with the Army
5+ years of experience with DoD and Army cybersecurity policy
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Excellent writing and communication skills for senior executive audiences
Ability to evaluate data and identify problems, issues, and gaps quickly
Compensation
Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 (based on experience and education)
