Job Description General Job Summary Responsible for planning, scheduling and assisting engineers with documentation, process, testing and general engineering-related support activities.
Essential Job Functions
Perform detailed development work in the areas of RF, analog and digital electronics under the guidance of engineers
Work independently to resolve existing problems and/or malfunctions expeditiously
Collect and analyze engineering test data toward a given objective
Research and analyze electronic components for new designs and replacement of obsolete parts
Interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions
Implement and test engineering changes
Create test plans and procedures for products under development
Travel to environmental and electromagnetic interference testing labs to perform new development qualification testing
Travel to customer sites within the U.S. or to Europe to perform vehicle surveys, system installations and follow‑on testing as needed, often outdoors, for a span of a few days to a few weeks
Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of the time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD

Experience And Skills Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
Interact effectively with peers and supervisors
Interact appropriately with the public when necessary
Adhere to workplace rules
Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, work instructions and component identifications
Work with minute parts and demonstrate finger dexterity
Lead a team relevant to assigned programs to ensure contract requirements are accomplished
Operating knowledge of advanced test equipment operations and related uses and safeguards
Working knowledge of microprocessors or computers and microprocessor/computer‑based control systems and related software
Education and Experience
AS degree, technical school credentials in related field or equivalent experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience
Intermediate experience with computers and various software applications to include MS Office
Experience in development, test, or maintenance of RF or radar systems and airborne command, control, and telemetry systems preferred
Experience with mechanical and electro‑mechanical devices and tools desired
Ability to travel, foreign and domestic, up to 25%
Possess a passport or be willing and able to obtain (at company's expense) to allow for work travel overseas
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
Production environment, office environment, and garage/outdoor environment
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive motion (use of arm‑hand steadiness, finger dexterity, manual dexterity for small parts assembly, frequent use)
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
