Job Overview: The IT Senior Manager Solutions Business Technology Platform (BTP) oversees and manages the tasks of planning, documentation, maintenance, and administration of SAP BTP system owned capabilities such as Technical and Functional configurations including management of overall BTP and MuleSoft integrations. This role is responsible for supporting UNFI’s internal IT Product Teams as a conduit between UNFI Technical and Business teams including getting delivery for SAP BTP Implementation work through System Integration Partner.

This role works collaboratively with development, infrastructure, and support. Also, this role manages performance and deliverables from a global workforce of associates and external IT vendors that may be operating from various time zones. In addition, this role will focus on strategic direction and IT functional/technical roadmaps for SAP BTP/MuleSoft. The role requires deep expertise across SAP BTP Integration Suite components (CPI, API Management, Integration Advisor, Event Mesh, TPM) as well as hands-on MuleSoft integration experience in API modeling, architecture, and hybrid integration environments leveraging multiple platforms.

Job Responsibilities

Define and execute the enterprise integration roadmap leveraging SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, and Cloud Foundry/Kyma runtimes and Mulesoft

Lead a team of integration architects and developers delivering complex integration solutions

Partner with enterprise architects, application owners, and business stakeholders to align integration capabilities with business goals

Establish governance standards for APIs, event-driven architecture, and middleware usage

Lead efforts in the design and implementation of SAP BTP Integration landscape across UNFI and with contingent workforce

Work collaboratively with key business area stakeholders or internal IT teams to determine technical direction and approach to system design and implementation

Ensure designs support scalability, quality, performance, security, maintainability, and architectural integrity, and ensure solutions are delivered in alignment with the defined architecture strategies and goals through collaboration across IT teams

Act as a subject matter expert to the organization for SAP BTP Integration suite / MuleSoft

Contribute to the ongoing evolution of processes/methodologies that pertain to the software development lifecycle, people management, business process, or information services

Define, lead, and govern integration strategy using SAP BTP Integration Suite

Deliver and oversee integrations via CPI and govern enterprise API lifecycle through API Management

Drive adoption of Integration Advisor for canonical mappings and B2B/EDI scenarios

Establish event-driven architectures using Event Mesh

Manage Trading Partner Management (TPM) for external partner collaboration

Provide MuleSoft architectural leadership, focusing on API modeling, reuse, and hybrid integration with SAP and non-SAP systems

Experience with multiple integration platforms to design scalable, future-ready solutions

Partner with system integrators to ensure consistent delivery standards and governance

Mentor internal teams and promote best practices for clean core integration strategies

Leadership & Coaching

Accountable for all aspects of managing the team of internal and external contractors involved in SAP BTP project work

Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and manage global stakeholders

Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements Education/Certifications

Bachelor’s in management information systems, computer science, or related discipline is required

Experience

10+ years of relevant Information Technology experience required including 5+ years of technical experience with SAP BTP and MuleSoft (preferred)

7+ years of SAP ERP implementation/consulting experience working with leading SAP System Integrator(s)

8+ years of experience leading a team(s) made up of technical associates and/or contract resources in multiple locations, including offshore is required

8+ years in SAP integrations with progressive leadership experience

Proven expertise in SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Integration Advisor, Event Mesh, TPM)

Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft, specifically in API modeling, architecture, and hybrid/multi-platform environments

Proven track record of managing system integrators and vendor delivery models

Strong understanding of API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, and hybrid integration landscapes

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Demonstrated ability to influence key IT and Business leaders

Managing conflicting approaches aligned to the strategic roadmap

Advanced knowledge of SAP BTP and Wholesale Distribution business practices, processes/applications, and associated industry software tools

Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions

Deep knowledge of all components of technical architecture including Cloud/Hybrid application architecture

Understanding network architecture and secure API design principles

Familiarity with SAP S/4 from Technical and Functional perspective

Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications

Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available

Work Environment Remote Role. This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.

Travel (minor). This position may require the associate to travel to company offices, distribution centers, or other locations for specific meetings or other business reasons.

Physical Environment/Demands

Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment

Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear

Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday

Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties
