Job Description Salary: $14.42 - $15.87 an hour Assistant Teacher - Early Childhood Education Part-time | 12 months | Monday - Friday Location: 1802 S. 17th Street, in the heart of Wilmington, NC

Key Responsibilities:
Support a classroom of up to 11 students alongside a dedicated teacher, ensuring a low student-to-teacher ratio and personalized attention.
Implement lessons using the STREAMin3 Curriculum, supporting the development of the whole child
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children
Be positive, approachable, and professional in interactions with parents/guardians, staff, students, and community members
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student information
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects and celebrates the values and beliefs of all families
Willingness to attend professional development opportunities and staff meetings
Be flexible and team-oriented, assisting with other responsibilities assigned by the Director and/or Assistant Director
Qualifications: 2 years in Early Childhood Education preferred
North Carolina Early Childhood Certification (EDU 119) preferred
Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform all duties safely and effectively
Meets all North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (NCDCDEE) requirements to work in a licensed child care program
Candidates with ITS SIDS training are strongly encouraged to apply
Schedule & Shifts: This is a part-time position assisting in our 1 year old classrooms. The schedule is 11am - 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and 11am - 3pm on Thursdays.
Compensation: Hourly rate between $14.42 - $15.87, based on education and experience.
