The Work
You’ll manage procurement efforts for owner‑furnished equipment on data center projects, ensuring compatibility with project design, timelines, and performance goals.
You’ll maintain relationships with vendors, including OEMs, distributors, and specialty suppliers, for critical infrastructure like generators, chillers, UPS systems, PDUs, CRACs, switchgear, and high‑voltage equipment.
You’ll assist in tracking production schedules, shipping milestones, and on‑site delivery coordination alongside construction managers and trade contractors.
You’ll contribute to creating bid and leveling packages for OFCI equipment, emphasizing logistics, warranty terms, lead times, total cost, and commissioning requirements.
You’ll participate in competitive sourcing for OFCI packages: support drafting RFIs and RFPs, handle vendor inquiries, review proposals, and compile summaries for stakeholder recommendations.
You’ll work with internal teams to outline technical and performance requirements for OFCI packages; aid engineers in preparing documentation for accurate vendor scoping.
You’ll collaborate with construction, design, and development teams to synchronize OFCI procurement schedules with fast‑paced project timelines and construction phases.
You’ll join scope review discussions and vendor negotiations, helping ensure contracts align with project demands for reliability, uptime, and delivery timelines.
You’ll monitor and report on procurement progress across projects, covering commitments, cost impacts, change orders, and remaining exposure.
You’ll stay updated on supply chain trends for power and cooling equipment, assisting in spotting potential risks to pricing or schedules and proposing solutions.
You’ll aid in resolving equipment‑related issues, such as delivery delays or commissioning challenges, and support escalation for vendor performance concerns.
You’ll help prepare close‑out documentation and facilitate warranty onboarding for OFCI assets to ensure a seamless handover to operations and facilities teams.
Remote work is allowed for the majority of work hours, although occasional in‑person collaboration is expected.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
5‑10 years of experience in procurement, construction management, or real‑estate development, including at least 2 years supporting OFCI procurement for data centers or similar mission‑critical facilities.
Familiarity with vendor coordination, equipment sourcing, and basic procurement processes for electrical and mechanical infrastructure in hyperscale or colocation settings.
Basic knowledge of long‑lead mission‑critical components and their role in commissioning and integration.
Bonus Points If You Have
Ability to review technical specifications, design documents, vendor proposals, and procurement schedules.
Organized, attentive to detail, and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with internal teams, contractors, and OEMs.
Experience supporting procurement schedules, reporting, and tracking tools for data center projects.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, or Washington as set forth below.
