The Specialist Environment Air reports to the El Segundo Refinery Regulatory and Compliance Manager and plays a key role in maintaining compliance with air related Chevron and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Provides Benzene Waste Operations NESHAP regulations (BWON), Toxics Release Inventory regulations(TRI) and Annual Emissions Report (AER) technical support to the Refinery

Provides operational guidance for air compliance and air sampling

Undertakes air data QA/QC and air emissions calculations

Prepares and submits Chevron and regulatory compliance reports

Co-ordinates the completion of compliance tasks

Develops and delivers training materials

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science or other related scientific disciplines

Quantified experience: minimum 7 years' experience in air regulation, permitting, and compliance role

Experience in interpreting and complying with environmental regulations and implementing programs/procedures for sustained compliance

Air emissions estimations knowledge / experience for emission sources common to the oil and gas industry

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong computing and use of Microsoft applications skills (i.e. excel, word, outlook, teams, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working collaboratively with regulators

Ability to simplify complex regulatory information for stakeholders

Prior experience conducting in person training with workers

Relocation Options Relocation

The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on his or her skills, experience, and qualifications. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $101,700 - $175,200
