Industrial Electrician – West Fraser

Tasks and Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical components of mill equipment.
Repair, modify, and maintain a variety of electrical equipment.
Wire circuits, replace components, and repair electronic devices.
Conduct tests using measuring instruments, including multimeter and Megger.
Stay current on technical changes and equipment designs by attending required classes.
Work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including PPE and safety equipment usage.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Legal U.S. employment eligibility without sponsorship.
Experience with electrical fundamentals, 3‑phase and single‑phase power distribution, motor controls, and wiring.
Knowledge of 480‑volt power, logic circuits, and machine‑control systems.
Proficient in reading electrical schematics.
Advanced electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
Ability to identify controller functions and differentiate from pneumatic and electronic devices.
Understanding of control‑circuit signal paths.
Willingness to work a 12‑hour rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Availability for on‑call, emergency duties as required.
Team‑player mindset, delivering value individually and collectively.
Good attendance and reliability.
Cross‑training willingness to learn additional jobs and skills.
