Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Facilitator, Preferred Spanish/Basic Education - Brooklyn.

In this role, the successful candidate The Workforce Training Project Facilitator will focus on the vocational needs of program participants and community members, overseeing workforce training initiatives and programs in collaboration with training partners and other relevant stakeholders. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of trainings, including: coordination of programs; participant outreach, recruitment and intake; developing and maintaining partnerships with training partners and internship/employment stakeholders, and ensuring access and support to participants facing barriers to program persistence and completion. The Facilitator will also oversee the work of the Job Readiness Coordinator and Database Coordinator. They will work with an interdisciplinary social service and educational team to ensure integration of services and achievement of participant goals.

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate workforce development training courses following proven program models including the I-BEST for Adult Learners. This includes outreach to and recruitment of eligible participants, collaborating with training partner and instructors for the provision of services and connecting students to relevant resources and supports

Provide reflective supervision for the Job Readiness Coordinator on assessment of skills and needs, setting of career and higher educational goals, development of career plans, following up on progress, securing placements in internships, employment and training for both program participants and community members.

Provide reflective supervision for the Database Coordinator on assessment of skills and needs, setting of career and higher educational goals, development of career plans, following up on progress, securing placements in internships, employment and training for both program participants and community members.

Develop and maintain relationships with colleges and organizations that offer training programs

Develop and maintain partnerships with internship and employment sites (local for profit and not for profit businesses) that meet needs and interests of program participants

Stay abreast of workforce development and higher education policies at the federal, state and city level

Facilitate access to additional resources to help program participants overcome potential barriers to employment and training

Keep abreast of workforce and opportunities, advocacy and processes

Support the preparation of program grant proposals and reports

Other special projects as they arise

Minimum Qualifications

B.A. is required

At least two years of experience in working with immigrant populations

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders including program participants, internship placement sites, workforce partners, partner agencies, businesses and employers

Bilingual Spanish preferred

A willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

Interest in and awareness of working with culturally, linguistically and economically diverse communities

Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $38,805.00 - $51,129.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
