OBGYN Diagnostic Sonographer - Clinic

Performs abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, vascular imaging and provides sonography guidance for interventional procedures, in accordance with department policies and the American College of Radiology (ACR). Uses independent judgment, and has thorough understanding of equipment and positioning to provide optimum service to patients and providers. Responsibilities Perform abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, vascular imaging. Provide sonography guidance for interventional procedures. Use independent judgment in patient positioning and equipment. Maintain patient care standards and accuracy of imaging.

Qualifications

Associate's or Vocational degree from an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound or equivalent. Vocational or Technical Training graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology and 2-year School of Diagnostic Ultrasound. Vocational or Technical Training graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology and ARDMS registered or registry eligible. Experience 0 to 2 years in diagnostic sonography.

Licenses/Certifications

American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required upon hire. Registered in at least one of the following: Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), Fetal Echocardiography (FE), OB/GYN, Pediatric Sonography (PS). Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required for all hospital locations within 6 months (unless for High-Risk Perinatal or Piper Breast Centers). For Piper Breast Center locations: registration in Breast (BR) within one year. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Allina in?house BLS training within 60 days of hire.

Physical Demands

Medium work: lifting up to 32 lbs occasionally; up to 25 lbs frequently. Work 8?hour day shifts; 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two?week pay period). No weekends; possible coverage of additional locations on a limited basis. Strong experience preferred; board registered with ARDMS required.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $37.67 to $51.63 per hour. Your starting rate will depend on experience, education, and union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend, and other differential pay may be available. Benefits Summary
