Job Description Responsibilities
Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry of financial transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.) for clients. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy. Maintain general ledger entries and ensure proper classification of transactions. Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations. Prepare and file sales tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely submission. Assist in preparing year-end closing procedures and tax preparation documentation. Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial data and provide updates on their account status. Assist senior accountants and management with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related on the job experience. At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience within a CPA firm or accounting department. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with payroll processing and sales tax filings is a plus. Job Type: Full-time
