Job Description This role will drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. You will select suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards; own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Also has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Roles and Responsibilities

Ensures suppliers meet Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development guidelines. Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors.

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Leads small projects with low risks and resource requirements, explains information, develops skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within the field, conveys performance expectations, and may handle sensitive issues.

Functions with some autonomy but is subject to functional practices and precedents or is covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. Allows modification of procedures and practices covering work for both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development.

Lead supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting assigned suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.

Tracks metrics and works quality improvement plans to address problem areas.

Reviews and approves quality plans, investigates quality escapes to provide root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective actions are taken.

Mentors suppliers in the application of quality tools & requirements.

Ensures compliance, and drives improvement plans where needed.

Reviews documentation and witnesses supplier practices to determine if sound manufacturing and inspection principles are in place.

Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a quality and/or castings to execute policy. Has basic knowledge of related job disciplines.

Uses judgment to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems.

Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis, uses technical experience and analytical thinking, uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Travel Required 25 - 40% of time.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years Quality experience in a manufacturing site)

Minimum of 3 years Quality experience in a manufacturing site

Desired Characteristics

Experience with either investment casting process or product engineering

Knowledgeable about New Product Start-Up and APQP.

Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

Established project management skills.

Background in supplier quality and supplier management

Experience in airfoils or structural castings

Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

The base pay range for this position is 100,000.00 - 120,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on October 31, 2025.
