Base Pay is $15/hr. Stylists average $22–$29 per hour, including tips and incentives. Top performers can earn even more. A valid IL cosmetology or barber license Ability to work a flexible schedule Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills Industry passion. Your Tips Matter – Thanks to an industry-wide effort championed by Sport Clips, you can deduct up to $25,000 of your tips, keeping more of what you earn. We’re proud to support initiatives that put more money back in your pocket. Note: The IRS still needs to provide implementation guidance. Tip income must still be reported.
