The Job: As an Sous Chef in the Bakery at Aria, you will support the Pastry Chef and bakers in crafting delightful treats that delight our guests. With your friendly smile and dedicated service, you'll elevate the guest experience, connecting with them to understand their unique stories and needs. Join us in creating unforgettable WOW moments through exquisite pastries that guests will remember long after their stay!
The Day-To-Day:
Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
Label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
Maintain production knowledge and attention to detail with decoration and taste quality
Assist Pastry Chef, other Assistant Pastry Chefs, bakers, and helpers as needed in execution of production
Conduct training for bakers and helpers on job responsibilities
Communicate with management and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees
Assist Executive Chef and Pastry Chef by controlling food and labor cost, and establish goals and objectives that focus on profit, product and people
Assist Executive Chef and Pastry Chef by controlling of purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of all kitchen items
The Ideal Candidate:
Is 21+ years of age
2+ Years of Leadership in a Culinary Setting
Preferably has experience in Baking bread at high volumes
High School Diploma or GED
