Housing & Residence Life - Coordinator of Housing Custodial
Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
Supervision (50%)
Hire, train, supervise and evaluate 20+ part‑time student custodial staff
Assign daily cleaning tasks to student custodial staff
Perform routine inspections of student custodial staff and assist the Assistant Director of Housing Custodial with inspections of full‑time Buildings & Grounds staff
Consult with the Assistant Director of Housing Custodial on matters related to discipline of student custodial staff
Indirectly supervise 17 Buildings & Grounds staff and provide work direction in the absence of the Assistant Director of Housing Custodial and, with consultation of the Associate Director of Housing Maintenance & Custodial Operations
Assist in the planning and implementation of training and development of B&G and student custodial staff
Administrative Responsibilities (40%)
Ensure safety and compliance of student custodial staff
Oversee student custodial time keeping and payroll
Manage distribution of necessary supplies for student custodial staff
Lead the apparel program for the Housing Custodial unit
Meet regularly with the Assistant Director of Housing Custodial
Attend monthly staff meetings with B&G and Assistant Director of Housing Custodial
Attend other meetings and trainings as necessary
Department Responsibilities (10%)
Participate in department wide committees and functions
Assist with move‑in and move‑out processes
Perform other work as assigned
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
BA/BS plus at least four years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal at least eight years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Custodial experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Google platform
Experience supervising students and/or paraprofessional staff
Customer service experience
Pay and Benefits Pay Range:
$25.99 - $27.45 per hour, depending on education/qualifications/experience
Time Appointment:
100% Appointment
