About the Role Join our caring team at the
Haitian Adult Day Health Center , where we provide compassionate, community-based care for older adults and individuals with disabilities. As the
Transportation Supervisor , you’ll ensure safe, reliable transportation for our participants — and help keep our operations running smoothly every day.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the transportation department.
Manage the department budget, including fuel tracking and vendor coordination for maintenance and repairs.
Ensure compliance with all
DOT requirements , including licensing, registrations, and inspections.
Maintain the van fleet in safe, clean, and efficient working order.
Supervise and train a team of drivers to provide excellent service and safety.
Develop and manage employee schedules and client pick-up/drop-off routes.
Coordinate special outings, medical appointments, and field trips.
Step in to transport participants when needed.
Client Care & Team Support
Recognize and report any signs of abuse or neglect.
Advocate for clients’ rights, dignity, and independence.
Assist with participant care needs as assigned.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and ongoing training opportunities.
What You’ll Need
High school diploma (or equivalent).
3+ years of driving experience ; supervisory experience preferred.
Experience working with the elderly or disabled population preferred.
Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License
and clean driving record.
Ability to pass a
background check
and
drug test .
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally.
