LPN/RN Triage - Family Medicine - East Mason Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States Position type: 34 hours per week. LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse). Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and carries out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. This position helps the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider during the visit. What you will do
Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds. Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders and prepare patient charts. Instruct patients and families as directed within the scope of licensure or certification. Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and administer medications/immunizations. Maintain exam rooms and equipment compliant with infection control standards and ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room. Experience Qualifications
Current clinical experience as a licensed practical nurse. Preferred. Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of principles and skills needed to provide patient care. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to provide patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster positive work and patient relationships. Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing demands. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy. Effective problem solving; proficient in EMR systems, computer, phone, and office equipment. Effective written and verbal communication. Licenses and Certifications
Valid Practical Nursing license issued by the state of Wisconsin (Upon Hire) CPR/Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification (Required) Physical Demands
