Overview
Job Title : Accounting Manager
Summary :
Manages and supervises corporate accounting team to drive continuous improvement of accounting processes. Supports, develops, and improves accounting processes, procedures, and outcomes. This role will be working in a collaborative, team environment for a rapidly growing organization.

Accountable for monthly and year-end financial close functions, including assigned journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
Reconcile complex or high-volume accounts timely and accurately
Manages and mentors the accounting team, providing oversight and review of their work
Apply a broad knowledge of advanced accounting methods and procedures
Analyze and verify accuracy of data, research exceptions as needed
Support the development and execution of new accounting processes
Assist with preparation of audit sampling package for external and internal audits
Must be focused on the development, retention, and engagement of their team and others
Develops and implements procedures to streamline financial institution accounting procedures
Manages projects as assigned by the SVP-Controller or Senior Management as needed.
Prepares and sends business correspondence
Carries out responsibilities with professionalism, respect for others, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required :
Bachelor of Accounting required
5 years accounting experience required
3 - 5 Years supervisory experience required
1 - 3 years Financial institution experience preferred
Audit experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills
General understanding and application of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong understanding and application of technology and systems
High Proficiency in MS Office & Excel
