, for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the U.S. Air Force facility near Ogden, UT. This
onsite
role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization. Our client is targeting $75.00/hour for this role. U.S. Citizenship is required. Position Summary

This role will support the ground infrastructure component of the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. This is an onsite position at Hill Air Force Base, just outside Salt Lake City, Utah.
Full time presence on project is required.
Responsibilities: Designs structures using advanced knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering Determines the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete to ensure appropriate material is used based on load or stress requirements Originates and checks complex structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions Prepares or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs for proposals, forecasts, and change orders Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals Plans, coordinates, or prepares equipment, work and material specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations Coordinates structural engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations Provides technical assistance to other structural personnel and interacts with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project structural requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution Mentors and assists more junior structural team members
