Overview
Surgical Pathologist – Loyola University Medical Center. The Department of Pathology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine seeks a surgical pathologist to cover expanding service areas. Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent and be AP or AP/CP Board-certified/eligible. Individuals will be required to obtain a medical license in the State of Illinois.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will join a cohesive team of sub specialized surgical pathologists who handle approximately 35,000 surgical specimens annually. There are ample opportunities for clinical/translational research and multidisciplinary collaboration with investigators of the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center.
Qualifications
MD degree or equivalent
AP or AP/CP Board-certified or eligible
Illinois medical license or eligible to obtain one
Strong diagnostic skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and solid work ethic
Record or potential for academic and scholarly accomplishments indicating commitment to an academic career is desirable
Organization and Care Network Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a national-scale academic, quaternary care system in Chicago's western suburbs. The system includes Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital, with locations offering primary, specialty, and urgent care from more than 1,500 physicians across Cook, Will, and DuPage counties.
