Remote Sensing AI/ML Engineer
C-Star supports our customers with advanced intelligence analysis to aid analysts, the warfighters and decision makers. You will be supporting a team in Springfield, VA located at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. This position is full-time on-site and a Top Secret Clearance with SCI access is required as well as a current CI polygraph or willingness to complete one.
As an AI/ML engineer you will focus on exploitation software development, developing software tools and plug-ins for processing high temporal datasets. You will work with multiple phenomenology types such as EO/IR, MSI, and HSI. The work will entail deep understanding of a sensor's capabilities and the ability to process the data to make assessments. Your tools will be tested and then made for use by the analytic community. You will be required to collaborate effectively with other team members who will also be building other tools to be used by other community partners. Communication and collaboration are important aspects of this team to ensure tools run correctly and effectively. You will be supporting a research and development team in NGA Springfield, VA. This position is full time and an active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.
In this job you will:
Develop and implement new AI/ML software and tools for improved data processing and target characterization (e.g., object identification and classification).
Perform development of target detection algorithms, with physics or spectral phenomenology understanding as necessary.
Implement software tools in Python, C++, Matlab or IDL.
Build tools in a Linux environment.
Build remote sensing target detection algorithms.
Build, test, and validate the software and tools.
Document your code in proper software deliverables, including using Git.
Present your work in technical forums and analyst exchanges.
Collaborate with other teams within the DoD and IC.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
BA/BS and 10 years of relevant experience.
Experienced in Python, C++, Matlab or IDL developing AI/ML algorithms.
An active TS/SCI Clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with NTM image analysis.
Experience with AWS.
Independent work ethic with a commitment to duty and responsibility.
MA/MS Degree in Science or Engineering field and a minimum of 18 years of relevant job experience or, in place of a degree, may substitute 19 years of relevant work experience.
