Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. It includes eight primary care sites, 40 school‑based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation's largest dental residency program, and New York State's largest behavioral health program. Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Infant Aide.
In this role, the successful candidate will assist the Head Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons; work with a team to provide a stimulating environment and activities; encourage parent involvement; set individual goals and record anecdotal observations for each child; keep the room clean; help with toileting; and perform various classroom duties.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons and classroom activities.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
Support the Head Teacher in monitoring each child's progress and recording observations.
Assist with toileting, diaper changing, and hand‑washing procedures.
Promote healthy habits such as hand‑washing and safe sleep practices.
Inspect play areas, fire exits, and safety equipment regularly.
Respond promptly to child needs and emergencies while maintaining a calm demeanor.
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and supervisors regarding child progress and concerns.
Maintain confidentiality of child and family information.
Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training sessions.
Follow all center policies and procedures.
Help develop language and social skills through responsive interaction.
Offer age‑appropriate guidance and set clear limits.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom culture.
Keep all required paperwork and documentation complete and up to date.
Minimum Qualifications
CDA certification or higher.
Warm, caring, and outgoing personality.
Strong ability to work well with children, parents, and staff.
English proficiency; bilingual preferred.
Prior experience in early childhood education/care preferred.
Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $31,200.00 – $32,175.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
